Mitchell Williams formed Chickasha Wings, Inc. in 2003 to provide airplane rental and flight
instruction at the Chickasha Airport in Chickasha, Oklahoma. After graduating from Kansas
State University in 1985, Mitch moved from Kansas to work for the power company in Anadarko,
Oklahoma. After he married his wife Stacy, she fulfilled her dream of learning to fly. This was a
continuance of a family legacy for Stacy, whose grandfather flew an F-86 in Korea - the first jet
fighter. Buying an airplane was the next logical step for Mitch and Stacy. Mitch had to learn to
fly too and earned his Private Pilot Certificate. He went on to earn more ratings and became an
instructor, an A&P mechanic and an IA mechanic. Being involved in helping others realize their
dreams of flight was the final ingredient to an already perfect recipe.
With the goal of safe, low-cost training, the training fleet has expanded to two C-150s, a C-172,
a Piper Cherokee, a Piper Apache, and an Ercoupe-LSA. Using 2 full time and many part-time
instructors, we train students to become both professional and recreational pilots.
